posting to Tiktok everyday for 1 month (results!)

I decided to post 1 or more videos a day to Tiktok and see what happens. I’m starting off with 8,348 followers, and 194.7 thousand likes.

how i’m preparing

I wrote down a list of 50+ content ideas I can start working on. Coloring videos have been my bread and butter for the last year, but I want to branch out and make more content because sometimes those products are out of stock and I can’t post the video, and I also just want a little more variety in my content.

Some lifestyle content ideas I have are to post more slideshows, post about Tate and Oliver more, talk about pregnancy, and making cozy content. We’ll see if I actually get to any of that!

I made this monthly goal planner to help with this challenge! But it’s generic enough to be used for anything!

amount of videos posted

From March 5th-April 5th, I posted 33 videos. I only skipped posting 4 days this month, and on 6 days I posted two times in one day.

My goal was to post one piece of content each day, so I’m actually really proud of myself for this. If I’m being honest, I attempted to start prepping for this video back in February but then I got food poisoning and fell off track with posting while I recovered from that.

types of content posted

During this month I posted: 13 lifestyle videos, 13 affiliate videos, and 7 videos for my business. Because I was in such a reading slump, I didn’t post any bookish content during this time period, but do plan to pick that back up once I start reading more again!

One thing I find interesting is that my views were pretty stagnant at around 200-500 views, until I posted 4 days of affiliate content. Once one video took off it was a domino effect. I had one video get 24k views in less than 12 hours and once that one slowed down, another took off, then once that slowed another. And so on and so forth for the next week.

update on stats

I’m ending with…. 8,448. I gained exactly 100 followers, despite getting over 200k views on my videos. I am a little shocked at those results if I’m being honest. I would have thought that getting that many views would have resulted in more followers, but I’ll keep pushing on!

My affiliate sales did increase a little, but not by as much as you’d think. Which tells me that some of my older videos are still pulling a lot of weight with views and orders. Which isn’t a bad thing, just interesting to see!

overall thoughts

Overall, I find my stats a little mediocre. I am happy that a few of my videos took off, but it’s still not to the same level as last year. I know that Live videos help, but that’s just not for me. It gives me sooo much anxiety that I couldn’t keep up with it.

If you’re looking to grow your TikTok channel, I highly recommend giving yourself some sort of challenge or goal for one month and seeing what happens! You never know what you’ll learn, and what will end up working for you.
